ice trout

Why not drive three hours out of my way to catch a fat brown trout on this winter day? I gerrymandered (MB Pell) my way from Pittsburgh to the Barree Gorge and hiked through the thin snow and caught this nice trout on a #24 midge emerger I tied for Brookville. It was cold so I only fished for an hour and a half. Then I went to Boxer's Cafe and had a cajun burger and a pint of Brooklyn's latest brewer's reserve, a very nice "golden ale." I also purchased a bottle of Penn's Penndemonium to take away, a strong Maifest style lager that was released, yes, last May. This 8% brute has hopefully aged gracefully.
